WISD initiated an after-school program called ACE (After-School Centers on Education). This program provides Airport staff to help students with homework, extra-curricular activities (painting, sports, and cooking) and a warm meal for dinner.

This year's district theme is Lit for Literacy. As a school, we will strive to read 20 minutes daily which will expose us to approximately 1.8 million words a year.

Airport Elementary is a Leader in Me School. It is our belief that every child can be a leader. On a daily basis, our students are given opportunities to showcase their leadership skills using the 7 habits.

Donations collected from Airport students are used to give scholarships to former Airport students as they graduate from WHS and WEHS.
